Long wearing lipstick tends to dry out your lips and may not be suitable for everyone. I personally like to wear long wearing lipstick, followed by a clear gloss or creamy lipcolor to keep my lipstick on all day without the dryness. However, there are other options available, such as lip liners. I love lip liners, especially when you follow it up with bright or dark colored lipstick – as they help define your lip shape and look stunning in wedding pictures by creating the perfect pout.

My Favorite Lip Pencils

NARS Satin Lip Pencil – this is one of my favorite lip pencils. Glides on smoothly, jumbo size, with lots of pigment. It is easy to apply, and feels great on your lips. Long lasting.

MAC Lip Pencils – since I use a lot of MAC lipsticks, I feel compelled to write about their lip pencils. With these, I like to make sure they are sharpened to a sharp point, and then fill in the entire lip before applying lipstick. This will keep lipstick color from bleeding and keep it long lasting.

Makeup Forever Aqua Lip Waterproof Lip Liner Pencil – Not only are these lip pencils lasting, but they are also waterproof. Know what that means? If you decide to wear these while going swimming, guess what? Your lip color will not budge. It also glides on smoothly and does not dry out your lips. A win win!
