When it comes to liquid blush, a lot of people get scared and taken-back. Why? Because there’s a myth that liquid blush is difficult to apply, it won’t last long, or that it will look blotchy. It’s just myths, ladies, because ultimately, liquid bush is very versatile. You can wear it alone or underneath powder blush to really add some staying power.
In a world where beauty trends are constantly changing, lets stay on the safe side with liquid blush.
Here are my favorite liquid blushes for all skin types:
- NARS Liquid Blush in Torrid – with its warm undertones and opaque pigmentation, it’s no wonder this tops my list of liquid blushes. The best way to apply is to add a layer, wait for it semi dry, then apply another layer – repeat this until the desired intensity is reached.
- GLOSSIER Cloud Paint in Puff – although this is not complete liquid, as it is a gel formula, I still have this up in my list as my top 3. Why? Because of its watery texture. The color is a soft pink that goes well with most skin tones. Just like the NARS liquid blush, it has buildable coverage, so it is hard to overdo it. Once it dries, it stays put on your face without needing to re-apply.
- Benefit Cosmetics’ Benetint Cheek & Lip Stain – last but definitely not least, this staple has been around since the 1970s and doesn’t appear to be going away anytime soon. This is perfect for those who don’t like to wear a lot of makeup. It gives a nice flushed look on the cheeks, and can be worn by itself for a more natural look.
Before applying any of the above products though, you should always prep your skin the right way. This will allow your skin to glow through with minimal effort. See my previous post here, for more details on how to prep your skin.
